Chemistry in Action! was launched as a Newsletter in May 1980 at the Institute of Chemistry of Ireland’s annual congress in Sligo. Over the years it has increased in size and style and for many years has been a magazine. Spring 2020 marks the 40th birthday of Chemistry in Action! Its overall aim has been to improve the teaching of chemistry in Irish schools by equipping the teachers with information and ideas.
