Chemical Sciences Labs receive

The Department of Chemical Sciences are extremely proud to share that two of our labs have been awarded the highest level of certification (Green) by My Green Lab with a third receiving gold level status.

Recognized by the United Nations Race to Zero campaign as a key measure of progress towards a zero-carbon future, My Green Lab Certification is considered the gold standard for laboratory sustainability best practices around the world.

The program provides scientists and the teams that support laboratories with actionable ways to make meaningful change. ​My Green Lab Certification saves money and preserves resources while ensuring a safe, healthy, and fun environment in support of science.

The certification process was managed by Senior Technical Officer, Bridget Hogan, and the certification scores achieved were as below:

A3009: 93% - Green Level Certificate

B3503: 69% - Gold Level Certificate

CG024 & CG025: 93% - Green Level Certificate
