Niraj Patil, a Department of Chemical Sciences postgraduate student under the supervision of Professor Shalini Singh, has been chosen to attend 74th Lindau Nobel Laureate Meeting this coming June. With only 600 specially selected attendees globally, these influential meetings date back to 1951 and provide an important opportunity for young and early career researchers to network and learn from Nobel Laureates in workshops, lectures and cross-generational exchanges of ideas.

Niraj’s dedicated and unique research focuses on developing functional nanomaterials for energy applications, leading him to be one of only six attendees to be chosen in Ireland. He also joins the prestigious group of previous Nobel Laureate attendees from the Department of Chemical Sciences, Professor Shalini Singh, Professor Sarah Guerin, Dr Ibrahim Aminu and Dr Mariana Hugo Silva.
