Students photographed with certificates after presenting proposals based on group-selected UL Sustainability Missions
Friday, 28 March 2025

The Centre for Sustainable Futures & Innovation, in collaboration with UL Global Study Abroad, had the absolute honour of hosting the UL Sustainable Missions Showcase yesterday at the UL Pavilion.

Students presented their proposals based on group-selected UL Sustainability Missions, which they developed throughout their seven-week programme, Student Leadership for Sustainable Development.

The presentations covered the following UL Sustainable Missions:

  • -Digital Campus Commons
  • -Citizens Mission Council
  • -Revitalise River Shannon
  • -Agrihood Campus Commons

The ideas and insights shared by the students were exceptionally well thought out and delivered. It was evident that this group of international and domestic students is ready to lead the way in sustainability!

A heartfelt thank you to all who attended, the panellists Adrienne Horan, Andrea Deverell, Immanuel Darkwa, and James J Leahy, to Connor Gavin Ryan for videos and photos, to Charles Cunningham and Elisa Minoue for organising, and especially to all the student participants of the Student Leadership for Sustainable Development programme!
