
Readmission applications are for students who have terminated their enrolment and who subsequently wish to return to their course.
The following students may need to apply for readmission, provided that they were enrolled on their course for at least one semester:
- Students who terminated their enrolment at University through the official Termination of Enrolment process.
- Students who did not complete their student tasks in time and as a result had their enrolment terminated.
- Students who did not apply to return from (recommence) / extend their leave of absence in time.
Students seeking readmission to the University are required to make their application to the Academic Registry before the following deadlines:
- Autumn semester re-entry:
- Apply to the June or September SSC.
- It is recommended to apply to the June SSC as September SSC decisions and restoration of your student status will not occur until Week 3.
- Spring semester re-entry:
- Apply to the September / February SSC.
- It is recommended to apply to the September SSC as February SSC decisions and restoration of your student status will not occur until Week 3.

Taught students
- Complete the Readmission Application Form.
- All SSC applications follow the overall SSC process:
- Your application will be screened by Academic Registry.
- If it passes screening, it will be forwarded to the SSC for decision.
- Updates will issue to you after each stage.
- Applicants must follow instructions communicated by email in order to complete the process.
- Successful applicants will receive a final email confirming that their student status will be restored either:
- within 5 working days of the receipt of your decision
or - ahead of the relevant semester start date (Student status restoration may be delayed if you were approved for readmission far in advance of your return date).
- within 5 working days of the receipt of your decision
Postgraduate Research students (PhD and Research Masters)
- Complete the Postgraduate Research student readmission form.
What to do if approved for readmission:

Inform your Course Director of the date that you will be returning to your course.

Reactivate your student account (if you not longer have access).

Please allow 5 working days after the SSC decision is communicated to you for your student account to be made available for reactivation.

Once your student account is reactivated, your active student status will be restored.

Complete your student tasks through the Student Portal:

Annual Registration task

Module Selection task (if applicable)

Any alternative / additional tasks you are advised of in the email from SSC.

If approved for readmission with a link-in repeat / link-in repeat with repeat semester, you also need to:

Follow the instructions to apply for a link-in repeat. Note that your student account must be reactivated to do this.
Note that SSC decisions may be revoked or modified at the SSC Chairs discretion. If this occurs, you will be provided with a written explanation of the reason(s).
Postgraduate Research (PhD and Research Masters) students should complete our Postgraduate Research student readmission form.
