Geography is central to how we understand the world. In an increasingly globalised world, understanding how populations interact with the physical environment is critical to planning sustainable societies. At UL Geography we pride ourselves on educating the next generation of geographers and empowering young people with the skills to make positive change.
Studying geography at the University of Limerick equips students with the necessary skills and knowledge to tackle and plan for the future needs of society. Through lectures, lab work and field trips, students will be equipped to identify, analyse and explain complex human and natural phenomena.
Geography is part of the School of History and Geography and is studied via three programmes, through the Arts, Social Sciences and Physical Education, offering students a variety of future career pathways that can make a difference.
