Zhuxiu Zhang completed his Ph.D. in the Crystal-Engineering Research Group at the University of Limerick, Ireland in 2015.

He was born Nanjing and received his B.Sc.degrees from Nanjing University (2010).

Research activities have focused upon homochiral organocatalytic metal-organic materials (ocMOMs) and calixarene-based metal-organic materials (calixMOMs) since 2010.

In addition, during his Ph.D. Zhuxiu studied the use of organic-inorganic hybrid materials as supermolecular building blocks (SBBs) to develop molecular porous materials (MPMs) for the porous liquid is of particular interest.
