Content is the main attraction in your course. It contains everything your learners need, from learning materials to assessment activities.
What is Content?
Content is your space to create engaging materials for your Learners. You can add materials you have already created including;
-
Documents
-
Videos
-
files from Google Drive, and OneDrive.
You can also create new materials such as HTML documents, and even link to activities in Assignments, Discussions and Quizzes.
In Content, you can create a hierarchy of up to four levels:
-
Unit
-
Lesson
-
Folder
-
and Topic
to add your materials to.
Content can be used in conjunction with the New Learner Experience. This decision is set by your Brightspace Administrator and can be set on a course-by-course basis.
The New Learner Experience provides a more streamlined view of content for learners. To determine if your course is using the New Learner Experience, Role Switch to Learner/Student to investigate for yourself, or reach out to your Brightspace Administrator.
Why would I use it?
-
To centralize learning materials and activities. Content integrates materials and activities in one location for all your learners to help them navigate through your course.
-
To create accessible materials. Create accessible documents using the HTML Editor and Accessibility Checker.
