To access Vevox from Brightspace:

Yes, within the Q&A, you have the option to turn it off, pause it, or moderate it. You can also manage announcements and reply to questions as a host.

When you are setting up your live Activity you can set the Participant identification to Anonymous allowing them to ask questions and comment without revealing their identity.
