Missed out on Exemptions?
It may happen that, having verified your exemptions entitlement, you have not secured an exemption from all the CAP1 papers. In such circumstances, it may be possible to undertake the CAI exam as an external student for the CAP1 paper(s) on which you missed out. These exams are normally held by the CAI in May and September.
To apply to sit as an external student, simply complete the CAI Application Form (External Entry), ensuring that it is stamped by Student Academic Administration as appropriate. Submit the complete form (together with the appropriate fee and any requested documentation) to the CAI before the deadline for the appropriate sitting.
