The Economics Department at the Kemmy Business School hosts the Economics seminar series monthly.

The Economics seminar series brings exciting external speakers from academia, policymaking and the private sector to UL every month.  It will be of particular interest to economics students and staff, but attendees from across the university are very welcome.

Prof. Philip Lane of the European Central Bank 

November 2nd at the Kemmy Business School building, 11am-12:30 Lecture.

Philip Lane is the Chief Economist of the European Central Bank and a member of the ECB's executive board.  He was previously Governor of the Central Bank of Ireland and Whatley Professor of Political Economy at Trinity College Dublin.  He holds a PhD in Economics from Harvard University and is a member of the Royal Irish Academy.
