REBUILDING THE FUTURE WE DESIRE POLICY PROPOSAL

Three UL students, two of which study at the Kemmy Busniess School; Naomi Ohenhen (MSc Work and Organisational Psychology), Busayo Atijon (MBA) and Feruza Rameto (Biological & Chemical Sciences) entered an EU policy proposal writing competition to improve the relationship between the EU and its Youth! This contest was organised by Development Perspectives as part of an EU partnership project. They were looking for groups to put a short written proposal together aimed at MEPs in relation to the European Youth Goals.

The teams proposal, titled “REBUILDING THE FUTURE WE DESIRE," was shortlisted as one of the top three proposals. This proposal is centred around fostering a stronger connection between the EU and its youth through innovative strategies. "We aim to achieve this by leveraging the power of social media, rejuvenating rural areas in Europe with recreational centres, and championing a sustainable, green Europe by transforming environmental initiatives into engaging social events for young adults across the EU" says the team.

Naoimi, Busayo and Feruza wholeheartedly believe in the transformative potential of their proposal and are confident that it can pave the way for positive change.

Please support their proposal by visiting the competition facebook page and giving a like in the comments for options 1. "Re-building the Future we Desire"

The winning team is determined by the proposal with the MOST likes amongst the three proposals so please give a LIKE of Support.

The winning team will earn the incredible opportunity to send one of its members to Brussels, accompanied by a Development Perspectives staff member. In Brussels, winners from Spain, Ireland, Italy, Portugal, and Lithuania will present their proposals to EU decision-makers.
