We are delighted to announce that the DAFINET (Dynamic Attitude Fixing In NETworks) project officially started on 1 December 2018 and will run to 31 November 2023. The project aims to develop a network theory of attitudes that will help us to understand the relation between attitudes and group identity. This will be a useful theory of attitudes in its own right; but willl be particularly for understanding the ebb and flow of attitudes in social media networks, and how opinions are used to produce group identity. It has applications for understanding disinformation, and the resilience and vulnerability of human networks to bot influence.
We have two ERC-funded postdoc positions and will soon be looking for people to join our team who are excited to work together on this exciting challenge!
