Dalhousie Student Undertakes The Hate and Hostility Research Group at UL recently hosted a visiting student on a research internship from Dalhousie University in Halifax. Emma spoke about her experience in Ireland saying:
‘My name is Emma MacIntosh and I am a first year Canadian law student. Following a competitive process I was awarded funding from my home institution, Schulich School of Law at Dalhousie University in Halifax, to undertake an internship with the Hate and Hostility Research Group. As a result, I was fortunate enough to have spent the last two months working alongside Jennifer Schweppe and Amanda Haynes. This opportunity enabled me to engage critically with hate studies while refining my legal research skills. I contributed my work to a EU report, a presentation for an international conference, and a journal article. I am so thankful for how welcoming UL was, and how much valuable experience I gained from this opportunity.’
