The STRATA Lab (Social Transformation through Research, Analytics, Technology, and Access) is a new Research Laboratory at the University of Limerick. The Lab is a purpose built ecosystem of research activity, supporting rigorous and ethical research which has the aim of promoting social justice and community cohesion. The Lab seeks to promote the UN Sustainable Development Goals as well as the FAIR Principles which are aimed at making data Findable, Accessible, Interoperable, and Reusable. With the latter specifically in mind, the Lab seeks primarily, not to produce new datasets but rather new knowledge by harnessing large-scale publicly funded but privately stored datasets for analysis.

The STRATA Lab houses a purpose-built private server on the University of Limerick campus, where data is stored and accessed under the strictest security protocols.

If you would like to work with members of the STRATA Lab on a dataset, please contact us at ecsh@ul.ie.
