The Active School Flag UL research team, supported by the PAfH research centre, will host a co-design workshop here at the University of Limerick on the 26thof April. This day marks the third of three scheduled co-design workshops and brings together stakeholders from Active School Flag secondary schools, researchers (national and international) and policy makers to inform the development of a toolkit that will support the communication of physical activity messages with adolescents.

 

This research has potential impact to standardise the way physical activity messages are communicated with adolescents in Irish secondary schools with an aim of informing national policy. This research is driven by PhD student Caera Grady and Professors Catherine Woods and Elaine Murtagh and is supported by a wider team of researchers namely, Dr Kwok Ng, Dr Enrique Garcia Bengoechea, Kathleen McNally, Dr Fiona McHale (University of Limerick), Prof Maite Verloigne (University of Gent, Belgium), Brigid Corrigan (Óide), Donal Madden, Jane Keating and students from Newport College, Tipperary and the Active School Flag national team.
