Physical Activity for Health

Current Research Project(s):

I-Parc2.0: Maximising implementation of evidence-based physical activity programmes to address population levels of physical inactivity.

 

 

Lisa is a Postdoctoral Researcher at the Department of Physical Education and Sport Sciences working with the I-PARC team on a HRB funded project aimed at improving the implementation of evidence-based physical activity programmes in Ireland.

Lisa completed her PhD titled ‘Evaluating the role of specialist teaching to support Irish school children’s fundamental movement skill development’ at TUS, Athlone in 2020. 

Lisa previously worked as a Research Assistant on the Growing Up in Ireland Study and also worked as a Clinical Exercise Coordinator and Research Officer with ExWell Medical, a not-for-profit organisation who deliver community-based physical activity programmes for people living with chronic illnesses.

Main research interests: Physical activity for health; Exercise interventions; Healthy Aging.
