Congratulation to PAfH Core Member, Dr Brian Carson, and University of Limerick research teams who in collaboration with Carbery Food Ingredients Ltd, were recently named finalists in the KTI Impact Awards.
KTI’s annual Impact Awards recognise significant achievements in the commercialisation of publicly funded research nationwide and engagement with research system across the third level and other similar State research institutions. In particular, the awards acknowledge and celebrate the pivotal role of the Innovation Offices / Technology Transfer Offices (TTOs) and their staff on-the-ground who make this knowledge transfer and commercialisation happen.
The Engagement Impact Award is presented to examples of knowledge transfer success arising from Irish publicly funded research performing organisations and companies working together through collaborative research or research consultancy.
Carbery Food Ingredients has worked with research teams at University of Limerick consistently in recent years, including on a project to develop a new whey protein, Optipep 4Power that launched to market in 2021 and is targeted at the high-performance sport market including CrossFit and MMA.
