Intergeneration Week is taking place from the 24th – 30th April 2023.
The following two events are taking place this week.
Event 1: Intergenerational Community Event
Organised in collaboration with EDI and the office of the VPGCE, Student Community Engagement Liaison Officer, Andrea La Touche has planned an intergenerational community event in Bobby Byrnes, Limerick City Event April 25th. Probus is a retired group of professionals/business people who are delighted to meet with UL students with the aim of merging their experiences through Narrative 4 Story Exchange. This wonderful event is facilitated by Narrative 4 facilitators Dr Florence Le Baron-Earle, Dr Niamh Lenahan, Dr Maria Rieder and PhD candidate Leticia Scheidt. Event 2: Afternoon Tea Event
Ellen Fitzmaurice is hosting an afternoon tea in Plassey Village Hall on Thursday 27th from 2.30 – 3.30pm. Both the retirees from The Park and residents of the villages have been invited to come together. Grainne Fitzgibbon a very talented harpist will play some music from 2.30- 3.30pm on Thursday 27th April.
