Staff policy

  1. Alleged incident occurs
     
  2. Contact Maria Healy, Sexual Violence and Harassment (SVH) Prevention and Response Manager
     
  3. Complaint form completed and submitted to screening panel. SVH Prevention and Response Manager informs respondent of complaint and supports available
     
  4. Screening panel assesses complaint form
     
  5. SVH Prevention and Response Manager informs both complainant and respondent of screening panel decision

If the complaint falls within scope

  1. SVH Prevention and Response Manager forwards complaint and decision of screening panel to Director of HR.
     
  2. Investigator appointed and formal investigation begins
     
  3. Investigation concludes and allegations are confirmed
     
  4. Director of HR will inform both parties of the outcome and will determine appropriate action to be taken
     
  5. Option to appeal

If the complaint does not fall within scope

  1. SVH Prevention and Response Manager advises complainant of next possible steps and supports are signposted
     
  2. Investigation concludes, allegations not confirmed
     
  3. In exceptional circumstances there will be consequences for complainant if allegations are believed to be malicious 
     
  4. Option to appeal

  2. Investigation concludes, allegations not confirmed
