University of Limerick Journalism and New Media graduate Aisling Moloney, has turned TV presenter as the newest addition to the RTÉ news2day team.

News2day is RTÉ’s news television programme designed specifically for children, featuring Irish and international news of interest to a young audience. Following a call out to media and journalism graduates across the country, and a comprehensive audition process, Aisling, from Dungarvan Co Waterford, was chosen to join the team and began broadcasting live this week on RTÉ2 and RTÉ News Now. 
 
Aisling studied Journalism and New Media at University of Limerick. During her time in university, she worked for The Daily Mail newspaper in London, and also studied at an Australian university, where she had the opportunity to travel all over Western Australia.

After finishing her degree, Aisling worked with Limerick's Live 95FM and The Sunday Business Post.  

She joins current news2day presenter Cillian Sherlock, from Claremorris, Co.Mayo. Cillian is also a graduate of Journalism and New Media at UL. He won an internship through Google News Lab Fellowship, working with Independent.ie, before going on to positions with digital desks at The Irish Examiner and Breakingnews.ie. He also spent six months in Spain teaching English to children before joining news2day. 

Aisling is from Dungarvan and attended Scoil Mhuire National School in Abbeyside and St. Augustine's College secondary school.
