The Creative Arts Research Institute's collaboration with Irish World Academy of Music and Dance concludes with the final instalment of the Play On Series in 'Just change - Musicking towards equitable futures'.
In this webinar, speakers Alexis Kallio, Joel Spence, Hilary Moss and Simeon Smith will discuss the potentials and challenges of engaging music to support equity and justice in a variety of settings. The discussion attends to critical questions pertaining to the ethics and politics of leading change in and through music by examining the relations between music, health, and social change. The power of music in addressing social disadvantage and deprivation and the complex politics of implementing music programs in youth justice settings will also be explored.
