Performers: Niall Keegan, Conal O’Kane, and Alec Brown
Niall Keegan has worn many different hats across two decades of service at the Irish World Academy. Aside from his genre-defining research in Irish traditional music, he has mentored generations of Ireland’s finest musicians who have come through the doors at UL. Aside from this, he is one of the country’s most innovative and well-respected flute players.
In this concert he is joined by Academy graduates and tutors, Conal O’Kane and Alec Brown, for what he describes as ‘A performance of traditional Irish(ish) music on flute, guitar and cello. An ensemble whose inconsistent good looks are made up for with unwarranted energy and enthusiasm.’
