Algerian Revolution Day

An event took place on Weds 6th November in the GLOBE to mark Algerian Revolution Day that was hosted by Professor Gisela Holfter and Andrea LaTouche, co-founders of LIAFG (The Limerick Irish Algerian Friendship Group) and ADI Dr Angela Farrell, CD of the ISPhD program.

The invited guests included: Mrs Dali, the Chargé d'Affaires, Algerian Embassy and Mr Hachemi, Finance Officer Algerian Embassy along with many of our Algerian ISPhD students and staff. The event was officially open by the Executive Dean of the faculty of Arts, Humanities, and Social Sciences, Dr Sandra Joyce and featured guest speakers Dr Cliona Hensey from the school of Modern Languages and Applied Linguistics, and Professor Patrick Crowley, University of Galway.
