Journalism for a Day

Prospective students with an interest in journalism, PR and digital communications from across the country joined our journalism staff on campus to learn more about LM039 BA Journalism and Digital Communication. Secondary school, mature and QQI students visited our tv, radio and podcast studios as well as our dedicated newsroom. Organised by Dr Audrey Galvin and Dr Kathryn Hayes, attendees engaged with lecturers as well as current students and heard from graduates who showcased a day in their lives working as journalists. This hugely successful event is an excellent opportunity for future journalists to hear about our programme offering which includes radio production, tv journalism, data journalism, news writing, court reporting as well as working on our multiplatform award winning Limerick Voice.
