The next AHSS PhD Development Session is on ‘Telling your Research Story: How to get published in mainstream media’. This session will take place on Wednesday 19th of March 2025 at 10.30am in the School of Law Boardroom. The room is located in the Foundation Building, behind the lifts on the ground floor, first room on the left. Dr. Kathryn Hayes, (Associate Professor Journalism, UL) will give this week’s talk which will focus on ways to get academic research published on mainstream media channels.

Dr. Hayes will explore a number of areas including why your research matters to non-academic audiences, timeliness, implications for everyday life and learning news ways to structure your writing. She will also look at newsworthiness and how to pitch to a publication. You are all very welcome to attend. It is also a great place to meet other AHSS Researchers and build on our AHSS PG community.
