REPPP's John Reddy presented at the 'Data as a Driver: Informing Criminal Justice Policy and Practice with Evidence' event, organised by the Department of Justice on Friday 7th March. The event showcased the range of data available and being used to inform criminal justice policy and practice. John presented on the REPPP (Research Evidence into Policy, Programmes, and Practice) research study which is exploring how administrative data collected by the 100+ Youth Diversion Projects across the country from 2016 to 2023 can be analysed and used to inform future youth justice policy and practice in Ireland. This study examines the children and young people referred to Youth Diversion Projects and includes analyses of youth offending, programme referrals, and risk and needs assessments data
