Solus

Solitary bees are our underappreciated champions of pollination, and they’re dying. This is because of limited awareness of their presence in the ecosystem which has led to lacklustre conservation efforts being put in place for them. SOLUS is the educational kit designed to tackle this problem. Aimed at the primary school education system, it provides a practical and traditional education to children whilst also providing the means to incorporate solitary bees domestically, through a self-assembled bee hotel and specifically tailored flora for solitary bees. The kit also doubles as a science hub, that encourages children to engage with nature and solitary bees in a fun and meaningful way while contributing to real Citizen Science and data collection projects.
