Postgrad Month at University of Limerick: Celebrating Postgraduate Life

February 2025 marks the annual Postgrad Month at University of Limerick (UL), a month-long celebration dedicated to postgraduate students and their unique experiences. Organised by the UL Postgraduate Students' Union (PSU), this initiative delivers a diverse array of events designed to support, engage, and connect the postgraduate community.

Key Events and Activities:

Launch of ‘Thesis in Three’ & 'Picture This!' Competitions: On February 18 the PSU hosted the launch of ‘Thesis in Three’ and 'Picture This!' competitions. A flagship event for the postgraduate community, the events encourage postgraduate students and researchers to present their research succinctly and creatively, fostering communication skills and public engagement. 

Postgrad Ball: A highlight of the month is the Postgrad Ball, scheduled for February 28. This event provides an opportunity for postgraduate students to unwind, network and celebrate their academic achievements in a festive setting. 

Workshops and Seminars: Throughout February, the PSU is hosting various workshops and seminars aimed at professional development and personal growth. Topics include finance management, LinkedIn optimisation and cultural activities such as salsa dance. 

The events, workshops and sessions are designed to enhance and foster a sense of community among UL’s postgraduate community.
