Welcome to the Department of Psychology research participation webpage. Most of our research studies take place in the laboratories that are situated within the Department or online.
One of the most important ways for students to learn about psychological research and the science of psychology itself, is by participating in psychological research. This means that students get to experience different types of research, think about ethical issues and become immersed in cutting-edge research that goes beyond what is available to them in text books. Participation is also an important part of students’ research methods training programmes, and they receive course credit for participation as part of some modules.
You can participate in any of the research carried out in the Department of Psychology via:
- The Psychology Department Facebook page
- The Online Participation Portal (Sona)
- Responding to email adverts sent out to students
