Research Interests
I am a psychologist and I am interested in understanding the psychological processes that help people to be mentally healthy, and how those processes are different when people have depression and anxiety. In particular, when people ‘feel in control' of their life and things that happen to them, they tend to experience better psychological well being than people who feel helpless to effect change for the better. This is an important area of study as helplessness is linked to depression and suicidality. Therefore, control and other relevant topics, are the subject of my ongoing research.Peer Reviewed Journals
