Following the success of the UL Department of Physics in attaining Ireland’s first ever Athena SWAN silver award, the importance of recognising the achievements of staff and students was highlighted. To that end, we are delighted to publish the first quarterly issue of the UL Department of Physics newsletter. We hope to capture insights from students (past and present), recent achievements within the Department, as well as significant research contributions or papers. Bursaries and funding opportunities, with relevance to undergraduate students, postgraduate students and academics, have also been collated for convenience.
We hope you enjoy the read!
