Brief Description

The Graduate Certificate in Equality, Diversity and Inclusion is a one-year, part-time programme (30 credits). The Graduate Diploma in Equality, Diversity and Inclusion is a two-year, part-time programme (60 credits). Both programmes are delivered online.

When applying, applicants must specify whether they wish to apply for a place on the Graduate Certificate or Graduate Diploma.

The completely online Certificate/Diploma in Equality, Diversity and Inclusion is designed for learners who wish to develop an interdisciplinary understanding of equality, diversity and inclusion and to explore strategies for change. The programmes provide learners with the knowledge and understanding needed to deal effectively with issues of equality, diversity and inclusion at all levels of Irish society, the community and the workplace. Learners draw on academic literature and practical case studies to identify and address challenges in their personal and professional environment and are provided with the competence to become leaders in this area in order to contribute to the development of socially inclusive spaces in the community and workplace.

The programmes are delivered by lecturers from across the Faculty of Arts, Humanities and Social Sciences at the University of Limerick. This allows learners to engage in interdisciplinary, research-led teaching with experts in diverse fields including law, linguistics, sociology and public administration.
