Michael Hennessy is the Professional Education Manager at University of Limerick's Graduate & Professional Studies (GPS) department. 

In his role Michael is responsible for collaboration with Industry and enterprise to design, accredit and deliver education programmes and projects that address the 21st Century skills needs of the of the Irish Economy.

Michael has over 25 years’ experience in professional education and training for individual employability through upskilling, focusing on individual capability and industry capacity.  He has worked on programmes and interventions in ICT, Electronics, biopharma, public services, retail, logistics and supply chain sectors. 

Together with his team, he is committed to delivering innovative, timely, and appropriate solutions for the development of skills and talent for professional learners.  This is done by developing robust partnerships with stakeholders to develop and deliver responses.

 Michael has a education qualifications in public administration,  quality management in healthcare, and adult education and is a proud graduate of University of Limerick.
