MDU awarded for Excellence, in Public Sector Magazine 2021 Awards

We are proud to announce that the Management Development Unit based at the Kemmy Business School and the Flexible Learning Unit based in Science and Engineering have won, for a second year in a row at the Public Sector Magazine 2021 Excellence in Business Awards.

This year the specialist unit has won the award for ‘Excellence in Promoting Education Studies within the Mid-West Region which follows last year’s win in Leadership, Economic Social & Community Development.   

Both of these awards recognise the significant contribution that the Management Development Unit has made in the provision of training and development opportunities to the public sector.

The programmes offered by the MDU and Flexible Learning Unit range from a Certificate in Public Procurement & Supply Chain Excellence, a Diploma in Public Procurement & Supply Chain Excellence, a Certificate in Health Services Management, a Diploma in Health Services Management and a B.A. in Management  Practice.

Ms.Yvonne Delaney, Director of the MDU, says:

"The MDU is open for business and offers a wide range of programmes. Online learning is facilitated by experienced lecturers and supported by a dedicated technical team based in the Management Development Unit and the Flexible Learning Unit . Mature learners and people who are returning to education are warmly welcomed and the teams in both units provide a wide range of supports to enable the participants to have a fruitful and empowering experience both within the Management Development Unit, the Flexible Learning Unit  and the wider University of Limerick environment.”
