The University of Limerick Access Office is committed to supporting the Mincéir/Traveller community through the dedicated role of a Mincéir/Traveller Coordinator. This Coordinator is available to assist any members of the Mincéir/Traveller community who are interested in applying to the University.
The Coordinator’s role is to provide specialised assistance and guidance both on campus and within the community. We are dedicated to supporting all members of the Mincéir/Traveller community who are considering applying to the University. This includes helping navigate the application process and offering tailored advice to ensure a smooth transition into higher education.
We are here to assist you every step of the way—from selecting the right course to offering ongoing support throughout your academic journey.
Additionally, the Programme Coordinator will collaborate with the Mincéir/Traveller community to develop a comprehensive suite of pre- and post-entry supports. These supports are designed to enhance the participation and retention of Mincéiri/Travellers in higher education institutions. All initiatives will be created with a culturally inclusive and accessible approach, ensuring they meet the specific needs of the community.
Students who Transfer to University are offered;
- One to One support meeting
- Financial aid through Bursaries and Scholarships.
