If you are wondering if you have already registered, you can check your emails to see if you received a confirmation of registration from do-not-reply-ar@ul.ie . Sometimes these emails may end up in your junk mail, so it is worth checking there too.  

Getting here by car 

The University is located in Castletroy, just off the main M7 Limerick/Dublin motorway. From the south and west, take exit 30 off the M7 Northbound and follow the signs for the University. From the East/Midlands, take exit 28 off the M7 Southbound and follow the signs for the University. 

Parking 

Numerous spaces are available to park on campus. Just follow the event signs and our Security personnel will direct you to the nearest space. Please note we will direct you to our free car parks, but in the event of extra parking space needed you may be directed to one of our paid car parks. They cost €3 for the day and you can pay with €1 and €2 coins. 

Public transport 

UL is served by 304/304A local bus routes from Limerick city. The M7 Express coach also stops on campus with a regular daily service. 

Once you have registered for the Open Day, we will email you with more event information, including the Open Day brochure with an event map, full talk schedule and more.

Information stands in the Foundation Building will give you the opportunity to meet representatives from various areas and ask questions on a one-to-one basis.

The Open Day Guides will be scattered all around campus to help you navigate your way around and answer any questions you have about student life in UL. All our guides are current UL students so can share their own UL experience with you.

Admissions Office 

The Admissions Office is responsible for the processing of applications to undergraduate programmes. 

Glucksman Library 

UL’s Glucksman Library is one of the largest campus libraries in Ireland and one of the most digitally advanced in the world. Talk to Library staff about how we support new students in every subject area and about the services available to you. 

Campus Accommodation  

Campus Life Services is responsible for UL on-campus accommodation in comfortable houses and en-suite apartments which are located in secure landscaped village complexes across the campus. 

ERASMUS+ and Non-EU Exchange 

ERASMUS+ and Non-EU Exchange organise academic study placements within Europe and around the world.

Mature Student Office 

The Mature Student Office provides information and advice to potential undergraduate, mature access and QQI students who are over the age of 22. Advice ranges from pathways to study to financial supports that may be available while studying. 

Student Engagement & Development Team 

The University wants you to have a positive student experience from your first day in UL. The Student Engagement and Support Officers, along with the Student Financial Support Officer are there to ensure you get all the help and support that you may need as a first year student in UL. 

Fees Office  

The Fees Office manage the invoicing of tuition, contribution & research fees. Liaison with Grant Authorities, Health Boards, and Embassies with respect to student fees. 

Aonad na Gaeilge 

Pléann Aonad na Gaeilge le cur chun cinn na Gaeilge san ollscoil. Aonad na Gaeilge is responsible for the promotion of the Irish language at UL. 

Student Community Engagement Liaison Officer (SCELO) 

Working in the local community supporting students who live off campus. 

Faculty Tours  

Various tours will be available throughout the day where you will get to see our labs, teaching spaces and amazing facilities that makes UL unique. Check out the Open Day Brochure for times and tours available.  

Walking Tours 

Beginning at 10am, guided campus tours will take place every 30 minutes up to 2pm. Starting point location is the yellow star on the map in the Open Day Brochure. 

Campus Bus Tour 

Campus bus tours will operate on a rotating basis between 10am and 2pm. Start point is located at the pink star on the Open Day Brochure. 

Library Tours 

Library tours will take place every 20mins from 9.40am - on the hour, at 20 past the hour and at 20 to the hour. The Library tour will take 20mins.  

UL Sport Arena tours 

Ask at Arena help desk for any information, tours also available.

If required during the University of Limerick Open Days, a quiet space is available in the Library building in room GLO 38.  

This room can be used by anyone and may be useful to anyone who may experience sensory overload or fatigue. The quiet room has adjustable lighting and comfortable chairs are available.
