Postdoctoral Researcher in Electrically pumped all-inorganic LEDs by colloidal nanorod heterogeneous assembly
This position is funded by Science Foundation Ireland (SFI). The overall objective of this post is to develop a novel technology for the fabrication of low-cost, high performance, electrically pumped light emitting diodes (LED) using colloidal semiconductor nanorod (NR) heterogeneous assembly.
The successful candidate is expected to develop the more challenging parts of the experimental work, the development of a new class of nanorod (NR)-LEDs based on highly ordered, closed packed, vertically and horizontally aligned NR heterogeneous assembly architecture by electrophoretic deposition. In particular, a background in fabrication and characterization of electrically pumped light emitting diodes would be highly desirable.
The successful candidate should be able to work independently with a high degree of technical competence, demonstrate initiatives, being versatile and productive, capable of working both alone and with a team. The candidate will be expected to contribute to the evaluation and interpretation of experimental results, play an important role in the development of new intellectual property within the project, interact with potential industrial partners, and participate in the organization and administration of the project.
