University of Limerick Arts Office plays a key role in the vibrant artistic life of UL by offering a wide range of cultural events and experiences.
Our mission is to challenge the perception of what art is and what role art can play in our everyday lives.
We believe in the restorative power of art and aim to engage you in meaningful experiences through the prisms of music, literature, dance, performance, painting, sculpture, spoken word, craft – the list is endless.
Here in UL we are lucky to have amongst others, the National Self Portrait Collection of Ireland, the Watercolour Society of Ireland Collection and we are home to an extensive outdoor sculpture collection.
The Arts Office is involved in bringing these collections to broader audiences through a series of curated events. We also provide bespoke tours for groups on and off campus
Many of our activities are socially engaged one off pop ups that encourage a large degree of interaction by our audiences.
Our engagement with our student community includes work with UL Student Life Clubs and Societies and support of the creative research work of post graduates.
We welcome collaboration with individuals and groups and we facilitate all stages of the development of creative projects large and small.
