There are two main routes through which the Faculty of Arts, Humanities, and Social Sciences (AHSS) is working to help students develop their transferable skills. These are: 

  • Integrated delivery within a range of existing modules on your AHSS programme 

and 

  • Direct delivery to AHSS undergraduate and postgraduate students and to professional learners. We have three programmes available with a distinct transferable skills component which have been designed with industry:

1. BA Professional Pathways

2. MSc Communications, Emerging Technologies and Industry Practices  

This MSc is designed to enhance both knowledge and skills, blending them to prepare students from Arts Humanities, Social Science and other disciplines for dynamic careers. It focuses on key areas such as communication, data analytics, design thinking, and emerging technologies such as AI. The programme aims to future-proof students' skills in a rapidly changing workforce. 

The MSc is an innovative and interdisciplinary programme, drawing from modules in AHSS, Science and Engineering and the Kemmy Business School.  The programme is flexible and is offered both full-time and part-time. It is mainly delivered online, with some blended learning options to accommodate diverse student needs.

3. Professional Diploma in Critical Thinking, Collaboration and Communication
