The ‘Reflecting on Implementation’ workshops are a series of six sessions designed to foster in-depth learning and discussion around the science and ‘craft’ of implementation at the University of Limerick. The workshops target participants with previous knowledge, practice, or experience in implementation research.
In each session, we will tackle implementation problems or questions brought by group members or delve into key concepts of implementation science. This interdisciplinary workshop aims to expand our collective knowledge and understanding of using implementation science in research, as well as how it can be mobilised for research impact.
Aims and Objectives:
- Aim: To enhance participants' understanding and application of implementation science in research.
- Objectives:
- To provide a platform for discussing real-world implementation challenges and solutions.
- To explore and deepen knowledge of key concepts in implementation science.
- To facilitate interdisciplinary collaboration and learning.
- To identify strategies for mobilising implementation science to achieve research impact.
- To generate new knowledge and insights in the field of implementation science.
The “Reflecting on Implementation” workshops are facilitated by Andy Bray, a highly experienced project specialist in Implementation Science. Andy is a senior project specialist at the Centre for Effective Services (CES), where he works on implementation, practice and service development. Andy joined CES with a vision to improve the use of implementation practice to improve outcomes across a range of service areas. With a background in youth justice, Andy has worked in both statutory and voluntary sector organisations where he was involved with service management and service/practice development.
