Using Implementation Science to Support the Prevention of Substance Use
The Health Research Board is organising this session, which will be held at Trinity Business School, Dublin, on Thursday, April 17. The event will be led by Professor Alison Metz, a specialist in implementation science with a particular emphasis on the social impact of human services on young people and families. Alison will give an overview of the principles and use of implementation science and facilitate discussion that will help participants learn about implementation science and how it might be used to increase effectiveness in prevention work.
Professor Ross MacMillan of the University of Limerick will present an overview of the RePS project, a review of prevention services in Ireland commissioned by the Health Research Board on behalf of the Department of Health.
