UL Language Centre Students Celebrate St Patrick’s Day

UL Language Centre students embraced Irish culture by joining the 2025 Limerick St Patrick’s Day Parade. Representing diverse backgrounds, they proudly marched through the city, adding to the festive spirit.

Our English teacher Maura Casey described it as a "once-in-a-lifetime" opportunity for students to experience Irish traditions while sharing their own cultures. Following the parade, students gathered at the Milk Market to enjoy local food and a performance by musician Mickey Dunne on the traditional uilleann pipes.

This event takes a lot of organising from both staff and students, it was a massive success and everyone had a brilliant day. The event highlighted UL’s commitment to cultural exchange, strengthening the bond between international students and the Limerick community.
