The General English summer programme follows the same timetable and syllabus as the year-round programme.
In addition, each week the summer programme also includes:

General English will help you to:
- develop your fluency by providing lots of opportunities for practising spoken English;
- understand how the language works;
- develop all four language skills (speaking, listening, reading and writing);
- increase your knowledge of Irish culture;
- practise and improve your intercultural skills;
- develop your ability to learn languages independently.
General English Standard - 20 hours per week
The typical timetable is 9am-12.50pm each day from Monday to Friday (20 x 50 minute academic hours).
General English Intensive - 24 hours per week
Also 9am-12.50pm each day from Monday to Friday (20 x 50 minute academic hours) plus four academic hours extra over two afternoons per week. The intensive programme is subject to sufficient numbers applying.

Minimum entry requirements: Elementary level (A2)
Minimum age: 17 years
Maximum class size: 15 students
2025 start dates
Our summer Programme will run for nine weeks from 30 June and end on Friday the 29 August 2025.
Students can start class any Monday, apart from bank holidays.
