The Department of Mathematics and Statistics is Ireland's only dedicated applied mathematical sciences departments.  We have a team of 23 full-time academics, 13 researchers, 1 manager, 2 administrative staff, 1 technical officer & 33 postgrads.

Our main disciplines are Applied Mathematics and Statistics. 

We offer 4 undergraduate degree programmes including Mathematical Sciences, Financial Mathematics, Economics and Mathematical Sciences (with the Department of Economics) and Mathematics and Physics (with the Department of Physics), and 2 masters programmes: the MSc in Data Science and Statistical Learning and the MSc in Mathematical Modelling.
