UL wins Best Library Team at the 2024 Education Awards

With a very proud tradition and record of achievement in service innovation, student engagement and excellence in facilities, the library team at UL were recognised for their work at this year’s  Education Awards.

The judges noted in particular the library team’s deep commitment to student-centric services and their ability to incorporate feedback in to actionable strategies. UL Library’s engagement with students was commended and the team was complimented for its effectiveness and innovation in library management.

This achievement by the staff at UL Library comes just after the Glucksman Library at UL was voted number 1 in Europe and Ireland in the iBarometer International Student survey, completed by 122,975 international students in November 2023.

University Librarian and Director of the Library and Information Services Division at UL, Ciara McCaffrey, who nominated the team for the award, commended all that has been achieved by the library staff in UL and described the team as “truly exceptional, putting the student at the heart of everything they do”.
