University of Limerick’s Cooperative Education and Careers Division has won a top global award.
The award for Best Employer Partnership was presented at the recent EY Global Careers Summit in Belfast. UL won for its work on the Early Careers Employer Forum and the Early Careers Employer Survey publication.
The awards, sponsored by EY and hosted this year at Queen’s University in Belfast, recognise excellence in university career services worldwide.
Dr Patrice Twomey, Director of the Cooperative Education and Careers Division, expressed pride in the recognition.
“These awards are a significant acknowledgement of the impact of our research with employers and of a national publication of this calibre,” explained Dr Twomey, nothing that this marks the second time UL has received the award, reaffirming its leadership in employer engagement.
“I am proud of the team’s achievements and delighted that the judges recognise our work in listening and responding to the voice of our industry partners,” Dr Twomey explained.
Gavin Connell, Head of Careers at UL, highlighted the importance of both the Early Careers Employer Survey and Forum in supporting employers and students alike.
“By providing valuable insights into recruitment trends, skills gaps, and salary benchmarks, we help shape the future of early careers recruitment,” he explained.
