The following documents are available to request from the Student Portal and then issued to you by Parchment. If you need help, please contact Student Hub Online (TOPdesk), or Contact Us if you no longer have access to Topdesk.
The following letters confirming your student status are available to download from the Student Portal:

Confirmation of Enrolment letter |
Confirms you are enrolled in UL but does not confirm that you are a registered student. Once you complete all of your student tasks, your Confirmation of Registration & Attendance letter will be available to you. |

Confirmation of Termination of Enrolment letter |
Confirms you are no longer a student and have left your course without graduating. This letter will not be available if you have any outstanding fees. |
- Free transcripts: Access via Student Portal.
- Certified transcript (€10): Access via Parchment.
- There is no obligation to purchase a certified transcript. Certified transcripts are usually only necessary if specifically requested by an employer / educational institute etc.
- After each release of exam results, students will receive an email with the option to order and access their Certified Transcript.
- Once paid for, you will have unlimited access to your Certified Transcript, which will be updated each semester with any new results, until graduation.

Digital parchments (Only parchments for graduates of the University of Limerick are available via Parchment. Unfortunately it is not possible to issue digital parchments for joint awards (e.g. where UL and another institution award the final parchment). |

University Certificate of Study students

This certificate (free of charge) is issued to students who have completed a University Certificate of Study, within one month of completing their academic requirements. This letter will not be available if you have any outstanding fees. |

Graduates, alumni & former students
Graduates, Alumni & former students can request a Certified Transcript or other official documents (which will be issued electronically in a secure document), through the 'Graduates, Alumni and former students' section on the Academic Registry Contact Us webpage.
Using Parchment (formerly Digitary CORE)
Request your document using the instructions above. You will then receive an email containing a link which will bring you to a registration page.
- Please click the link in the email, and register using the email address where you received the invitation to register.
- After you register, if you have two Parchment accounts (for example, if you registered before with a different email address), you can merge them into one account under one email address. There are instructions within Parchment to allow you to do this.
If you received the email, and have followed the registration instructions, but you are still unable to register, please follow the below troubleshooting instructions:
- Try to register on multiple browsers
- Make sure your browsers are up to date
- Clear your cache
- Check your junk and spam inboxes
- Make sure you are setting up the account with the email address that the document was issued to
If you still can’t register after following the troubleshooting instructions above, please contact us via the links below, including your name, student number, date of birth, course and year of graduation (if applicable) as well as screenshots of any error message:
If you have registered with Parchment, click “Can’t sign in?” and complete the online form that will then forward password reset instructions to your registered email account.
Click the dropdown menu by your name, choose Profile Settings > Change email password.
- Register for your Parchment account if you have not done so already.
- Log in to your Parchment account.
- Follow the instructions in the email you received to access the document.
Accessing & sharing Parchment (formerly Digitary CORE) documents
- Your documents should be visible upon login to Parchment.
- If your documents aren’t available, and you have followed the instructions in the email you received and have registered using the same email address to which you received the invite to register, please follow the troubleshooting advice under the “If you have issues registering” section above, or contact us for assistance.
- From the ‘Documents’ page, which will be visible after login, click on the ‘Share’ button next the document you wish to share.
- You can choose to have Parchment send an email to a person, specify for how long they can access the document, require them to have a PIN to access the document, or simply share a link with the recipient yourself.
- You can also send your document to a registered organisation on the Parchment network via the share dropdown menu. If the organisation does not appear here, you can still share the document with them through their own contact email address.
