SPEAKERS: SIOBHÁN EGAN AND ELAINE CONWAY, CLINICAL RESEARCH NURSE MANAGERS, HEALTH RESEARCH INSTITUTE, CLINICAL RESEARCH SUPPORT UNIT, CLINICAL EDUCATION RESEARCH CENTRE, UNIVERSITY HOSPITAL LIMERICK

SUBJECT: Clinical Research Nursing- An overview of What We do and How We Can Help Researchers

SPEAKERS BIO'S: Siobhán Egan is a dual qualified Registered Nurse Intellectual Disability (RNID) and Registered General Nurse (RGN).  Siobhán’s research experience includes working as CNM2 Clinical Trials Coordinator Oncology, and she currently works as CNM3 TiLLIRI Study National Coordinator. Siobhán commenced work in the UL/UHL Clinical Research Unit in 2016 and her role has involved providing research support and trial coordination for both industry sponsored and academic studies.

Elaine Conway is a qualified Registered General Nurse who moved into the area of clinical research nursing in 2013 and is currently employed as a Clinical Research Nurse Manager in the HRI Clinical Research Support Unit, supporting various research projects. Her role involves providing research nurse support and trial co-ordination to both industry sponsored and academic studies, in the areas of pharmaceutical and device trials.

Please note: Each session now entitles participants to one RCPI* CPD credit
