COVID-19: The Inflammation Link and the Role of Nutrition in Potential Mitigation

HRI Members Dr Ioannis Zabetakis, Dept. of Biological Sciences, Dr Catherine Norton, Dept. of Physical Education and Sport Sciences and Dr Alexandros Tsoupras, Dept. of Biological Sciences, recent publication in Nutrients has been selected as Editor’s Choice Article.

Their review speculates on the importance of nutrition as a mitigation strategy to support immune function amid the COVID-19 pandemic, identifying food groups and key nutrients of importance that may affect the outcomes of respiratory infections.
